Westcore Neighbors Efforts to Reclaim Their Area Featured in the Holland Sentinel

This year Women’s Service Day celebrates its 10th anniversary by partnering with New Community Church (formerly Fourth Reformed), Good Samaritan Ministries and working side-by-side with Holland’s Westcore neighbors to turn a vacant house at 253 West 15th Street into a neighborhood center. Called Nuestra Casa/The Gathering Place, the building will be renovated to allow neighbors to hold book groups, cooking classes, canning classes, mentoring activities, music lessons, crafts for kids, reading activities, and work together in a community garden.

The Westcore Neighbors were recently featured in the Holland Sentinel.
