Have things to donate? Love to bake cookies to sell? Like to shop yard sales? We’re looking for help at a yard sale fundraiser to benefit the 2011 Women’s Service Day project.
This year, Women’s Service Day celebrates its 10th anniversary with a focus on neighborhood revitalization and an opportunity for volunteers—alongside neighbors—to create “pride of place” in an area of the City of Holland that needs it badly. We plan to renovate a house in the Westcore neighborhood and turn it into a community center called Nuestra Casa/The Gathering Place for the residents who live there.
A yard sale, organized by Westcore neighbors, is planned for this Saturday to help raise money for the renovation.
Date: Saturday, July 30th
Time: 9 A.M. – 2 P.M.
Location: 238 W. 15th Street (parking lot of Fourth Reformed Church)
Why: To raise money for renovation of a community center at 253 W. 15th Street
How you can help:
Donate items to be sold
Drop off between 11:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. by Friday, July 29. First, go to the home of Vidal Martinez, 249 W. 15th Street, right next door to the community center building. He has a key to the building, where you can leave your goods. Or call him at 616-834-3346 to arrange a donation time.
Bake goodies to be sold
Contact Erin Feryate @ 594-5394 or email@example.com to let her know about your contribution. Baked goods need to be dropped off at her home, 199 W. 15th Street, by Friday, July 29. Or bring to the Fourth Reformed Church by 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
If you don’t have anything to contribute to the sale, come buy something, and tell your friends to stop by!
